  • Anacharis aquarium plant

This plant, Anacharis is probably the most common aquarium plant. Anacharis will root if the shoots are buried in the gravel. They grow very well in ponds and will survive in cold water. The stems will grow up to 13 ft. (3-4 meters) so in an aquarium they will need to be trimmed.

   Anacharis are found in Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Brazil.

Water conditions:
   Temperature: 50-77° F (10-25° C)
   ph: 6.5 - 7.5
   dKH: Prefers hard water

Lighting:
   Light level: Minimal to Medium

Propogation:
   Cut stems will readily root in sand or gravel.
